 JOB DESCRIPTION

Assam Engineering Service Recruitment Board (AESRB) invites online applications from permanent residents of Assam and having requisite qualifications for recruitment to the vacant posts of Lecturer (Technical) in the Polytechnics under the Higher Education (Technical) Department, Government of Assam. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• Level 9A- B.E./B. Tech./B.S. (4-year Degree course) in relevant discipline with First Class or equivalent.

  Level 10- Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in relevant disciplines with First Class in either of the two at the time of application.

• Note: Level 10: The integrated M. Tech degree is to be considered, provided the candidate is secured first class in the integrated M. Tech course in the relevant discipline.

PAY SCALE

• Level-9A: Rs.56,100 – Rs.1,77,500 plus other allowances as admissible under Rules.

• Level 10: Rs.57,700 – Rs.1,82,400 plus other allowances as admissible under Rules.

IMPORTANT DATE

• Starting Date for Apply Online: 03-01-2024

• The last date for submission of the online application along with requisite fees is 20.01.2025.

AGE LIMIT (as on 01-01-2024)

• The candidate should not be less than 21 years of age and more than 38 years of age as of 01-01-2024.

  The upper age limit is relaxable up to:

• (i) 5 (five) years for SC/STP/STH candidates i.e. up to 43 years.

• (ii) 3 (three) years for OBC/ MOBC candidates i.e. up to 41 years and

• (iii) 10 (ten) years for Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) candidates i.e. up to 48 years irrespective of SC/ST/OBC and General Category candidates.

• (iv) For Ex-servicemen: The maximum age limit for entry into Government services for Grade-I and Grade-II posts in respect of Ex-servicemen shall be relaxed up to 50(fifty) years for un-reserved category

APPLICATION FEES

• Applicants shall have to pay application fees of Rs.250.00 (For General candidates) and Rs.150.00 (For OBC candidates) through the payment gateway provided in the online portal only on the website of AESRB except for BPL and PwBD candidates. Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes(SC) and Scheduled Tribes(ST) are exempted from payment of application fee as per provision of the Assam Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Reservation of Vacancies in Services and Posts) (Amendment) Act, 2024.
