 JOB DESCRIPTION

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• Educational qualification for the post of Sepoy shall be Intermediate (10+2) passed or Maulvi Certificate issued by Madrasa Board of Bihar State Government or Shastri (with English) or Acharya (without English) Certificate issued by Sanskrit Board of Bihar State or any equivalent educational qualification recognized by the State Government.

Age Limit

The age of the candidate will be calculated on the basis of the date of birth mentioned in the Matriculation or equivalent examination certificate. As per the cut off date, the age limit of the candidates will be as follows reservation category wise:

• Minimum age is 18 years and maximum age is 25 years for non-reserved category

• Relaxation of maximum age limit by 2 years for males of Backward Classes and Extremely Backward Classes category, i.e. minimum age 18 years and maximum age 27 years

• Relaxation of 3 years in maximum age limit for women of backward class and extremely backward class category, i.e. minimum age is 18 years and maximum age is 28 years

• Relaxation of 5 years in maximum age limit for SC/ST category men and women and Transgender, i.e. minimum age 18 years and maximum age 30 years

• Home Guards of all reservation categories will be given a relaxation of five years in the prescribed maximum age limit.

• For SC/ST/Female/Transgender Candidates: Rs. 180/-

• For All Other Candidates: Rs. 675/-
