 JOB DESCRIPTION

The Indian Air Force has invited online applications to recruit Agniveervayu posts. The registration window for the Agniveervayu posts against intake 01/2026 will open on January 7, 2025, and remain active until January 27, 2025. Candidates with certain educational qualifications, including Intermediate/ 10+2/ Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics, and English, with additional eligibility, have a golden chance to join the prestigious India Air Force as Agniveervayu. AGE LIMIT (as on 01-01-2026)

• The candidate was born between 01-01-2005 and 01-07-2008 (both dates included).

• In case, a candidate clears all the stages of the Selection Procedure, then the upper age limit as on date of enrollment should be 21 years.

PHYSICAL STANDARDS

Height: For Male Candidates, height is 152 cm; For female Candidates 152 cm for candidates belonging to North East or hilly regions of Uttarakhand, a lower minimum height of 147 cm will be accepted. In cthe ase of candidates from Lakshadweep, the minimum height will be 150 cm

• Weight:  Weight should be proportionate to height and age as applicable for IAF.

• Chest: For Male Candidates Minimum chest: is 77 cms and the chest expansion should be at least 05 cms, For Female Candidates: the chest wall should be well proportioned and well developed with a minimum range of expansion of 05 cm

• Hearing: Should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 06 meters by each ear separately

• Dental: Should have healthy gums, a good set of teeth, and ma maximum of 14 dental points.

• Physical Fitness Test – 1 (PFT-1): For  Male Candidates: 1.6 Km run to be completed within 7 minutes & For Female Candidates 1.6 Km run to be completed within 8 minutes

• Physical Fitness Test – 2 (PFT-2): In order to qualify for PFT-2, candidates should complete 10 push-ups, 10 sit-ups, and 20 squats within the stipulated time as per the following: –

• For Male Candidates : 

(i) 10 Push-ups 01 Minute Test will be conducted after 10 minute break on completion of run

(ii) 10 Sit-ups 01 Minute Test will be conducted after 02 minutes break on completion of 10 Push-ups

(iii) 20 Squats 01 Minute Test will be conducted after 02 minutes break on completion of 10 Sit-ups

• For Female Candidates :

(i) 10 Sit-ups 01 Minute 30 Seconds Test will be conducted after 10 minutes break on completion of run

(iii) 20 Squats 01 Minute Test will be conducted after 02 minutes break on completion of 10 Sit-ups

Visual Standards

• Visual Acuity: 6/12 each eye, correctable to 6/6 each eye

• Maximum limits of Refractive error: Hypermetropia:+2.0D Myopia: 1D including ± 0.50 D Astigmatism

• Colour Vision: CP-II
